Elisabeth Hasselbeck celebrated her birthday on "The View," and the co-hosts interviewed David Hyde Pierce and Justin Long.

David Hyde Pierce, Accent on Youth Broadway star, and Justin Long, Drag Me to Hell star were guests on The View, and Elisabeth’s younger brother helped her celebrate her birthday by singing to her.

The co-hosts discussed Elisabeth’s birthday wishes, and she reported that her only wish was for her younger brother to sing happy birthday to her. Elisabeth said that her husband, Tim Hasselbeck, bought her a ring for her birthday, and she returned it for a bosu exercise ball. They discussed her first date with her husband which lasted over fourteen hours. Elisabeth assured the viewers that they only kissed during the first date.

The women of The View discussed the drama around Jon and Kate Plus 8. Whoopi talked about her views of child actors and children on television. She said that all the money earned should go to the children. Elisabeth stated that being on camera all the time puts stress on children. She made a point about children acting more outgoing or shyer with a camera in front of them.

David Hyde Pierce

The star of the Broadway show, Accent on Youth, discussed the show and issues with aging with the women of The View. The show is a 1930s comedy about a man in his 50s that has issues with aging. He reported that his character changes from a successful man to an adolescent. David discussed his 25 year long relationship with his partner and his marriage this past October.

Justin Long

The star of Drag Me to Hell which is out in theaters on May 29, 2009, Justin Long, discussed the movie with the co-hosts of The View. Justin plays a professor with a girlfriend who was placed under a curse by a gypsy. Whoopi asked Justin if he believes in curses and he replied that he believes people have certain energies that aren’t necessarily tangible. Sherri said that “we couldn’t stop screaming and laughing,” when she saw the movie.

Elisabeth’s Birthday Wish

The show ended with a performance from Elisabeth’s younger brother, Ken, when he serenaded her with his version of a happy birthday song while playing guitar. He seemed nervous and reported that he had been downplaying his nervousness for the past couple of days. He told the audience a story from their childhood in which it had snowed and a few boys were pushing his face in the snow. He said that they were walking away laughing, and Elisabeth made snowballs to hit them in their private parts.
