The women of The View discussed hot topics with Sarah Symonds, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Kirby Dick, and the author of Oral Sex is the New Goodnight Kiss.

When the topics on The View are women having affairs, mob connections with The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the gay political community, and teenage girls performing oral sex, it’s bound to get heated.

Sarah Symonds

The author of Having an Affair? A Handbook for the Other Woman [Phoenix Publishing Corp., 2007], Sarah Symonds discussed her book and past affairs that she has been involved in with high profile men. Sarah reported that she had a seven year affair with chef, Gordon Ramsey; however, the women of The View stated that Gordon Ramsey denies the affair. Sarah offered signs for women who believe that their husbands may be cheating which are the following:

  1. If the woman feels suspicious, it’s the first sign. She should ask some questions or do some investigating.
  2. If a man has many late nights and does not want to be around his wife it could be a sign.
  3. Another sign is the man all of sudden wanting to help do his laundry.

The co-hosts of The View, especially Sherri Shepherd, seemed upset that Sarah got involved with men when she knew they were married. Sarah admitted that she has made mistakes and wants to learn from those errors. She also stated that the men usually makes up many lies to tell the mistress such as he is separated from his wife or is in the process of leaving her.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

In the media, The Real Housewives of New Jersey have been accused of being related to the mob. Caroline was quick to state that they have no connections to the mob. She reported that as American-Italians their priorities are family and loyalty. The three women present, Caroline, Dina and Jacqueline, discussed their families and Dina discussed her relationship with her daughter.

Outrage

Outrage was released in theaters on May 8th and is a controversial documentary about gay politicians who are in the closet. Whoopi said, “I’m not a fan of outing people.” The director, Kirby Dick, and blogger, Michael Rogers, defended this statement by stating that they don’t believe in outing people either, but they do believe in outing hypocrisy. They stated that the purpose of the movie was to show people how the gay and lesbian community is being hurt by hypocritical gay politicians who vote against gay rights.

Sharlene Azam

The author of Oral Sex is the New Goodnight Kiss [Sharlene Azam, 2008], Sharlene Azam, discussed her book with the co-hosts of The View. She reported that teenage girls do not feel the least bit intimate when performing oral sex. Sharlene reported that she interviewed middle class girls about their sexual behaviors and found that they believed holding hands is more intimate than oral sex. One of the shocking findings of her reporting is young girls are selling their virginity to older men. She stated that one girl, age 11, sold her virginity to a 40 year old man for 1000 dollars. Elisabeth Hasselbeck read the book prior to the interview and recommended that all parents read it.
