The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck Delivers 2nd Son

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the popular conservative co-host of the ABC network's The View, recently welcomed her third child with husband Tim Hasselbeck. She continued working on The View until it started its summer hiatus on August 7.
Son Isaiah Timothy
Isaiah Timothy was born on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 2:49PM. Hasselbeck was due August 11. The pregnancy was announced on the show in January, and the gender was not revealed. Hasselbeck also did not find out the genders for her previous two pregnancies, or at least chose not to make that information public if they did find out.
The Hasselbeck Family
Isaiah joins big sister Grace Elisabeth and brother Taylor Thomas. Grace was born April 25, 2005, which is also her father's birthday. Taylor was born November 9, 2007. Hasselbeck took relatively short maternity leaves so she could continue her work on The View.
Elisabeth's Early Life
Elisabeth Filarski was born on May 28, 1977. She was raised in both Cranston and Providence, Rhode Island, and attended private schools. She played softball in college, and studied in the Fine Arts program at Boston College. She worked for Puma before hitting it big on TV.
Elisabeth married former NFL quarterback Tim Hasselbeck in 2002. The two met while in college. Tim has played for the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and the Arizona Cardinals. Since retiring from playing football, he has appeared as a sports analyst on Fox and ESPN. In addition to her husband, her father in law, Dan, and brother in law, Matt, have also played in the NFL.
Her Job on The View
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been a host on The View since 2003, after the departure of Lisa Ling. She competed against several other women live on the air to get the spot. Hasselbeck's claim to fame was appearing on the second season of TV's Survivor in 2001. This season was filmed in Australia. Hasselbeck came in fourth. Since Survivor, Hasselbeck has judged a Miss Teen USA Pageant, and also hosted a fashion and style show called Look For Less on the Style Network.
Hasselbeck is known for her arguments with former co-host Rosie O'Donnell. She is the only conservative on a cast of mostly liberals. The show also got heated several times during the 2008 presidential race. The Hasselbecks live in New York City, where The View is taped. The View will start its 13th season this fall, with Hasselbeck returning from maternity leave in January 2010.
